My name is Angela Sato. I am an English teacher in Lima, Peru. I began teaching private lessons to children and adults. Later, I got a job in 2010 at the place I still am. I have learned a lot since then thanks to the constant training, the advice from more experienced teachers and helpful colleagues. I have to admit I had a troublesome beginning, but things have improved considerably.
I am proud to be part of a great team of teachers. Besides, I am always thankful to my students no matter who or how they are. Any situation we face is a new experience we have to adapt to.
Being a teacher, mother and wife means juggling with work and family. Finding time for lesson planning, family and personal interests is never an easy task. However, that’s a teacher’s life.
Thanks for visting my humble blog. I’ll try to improve little by little. 🙂

Hi,
I’m a Spanish teacher outside of Chicago and I’ve been trying to find Peruvian play currency for use in the classroom with my students for years. I have family that travels frequently to Peru and I have often asked them to search for this, but they can never find it. Any suggestions as to where one can purchase that play money you have pictured? Thanks!!

Hi Ana,
It’s great to hear about other teachers around the world. I live in Lima.I bought the play currency at a store downtown, Cercado de Lima. There are some wholesale markets. Among them there is one called Mina de Oro. That’s where I found it.
There are some stands which sale stationary items and schools supplies on the first floor.
I hope your relatives can find it easily.
Thanks for visiting my blog!
Have a great weekend!
